What it actually is
A layer that takes the hit so the paint doesn’t.
Film is not a coating and not a wax. It is a physical urethane layer, several times the thickness of your factory clear coat, bonded over the paint and removable years later.

Every install is computer-cut to your exact year, make and model, then fitted indoors under controlled lighting. A single piece of grit trapped under film is there for the life of the install — which is why none of this happens outside.

02 / Decontamination
Everything comes off first
Foam pre-soak, two-bucket hand wash, then chemical and mechanical decontamination. Film over bonded contamination locks it in permanently.
03 / Correction
Defects removed under light
Machine polishing under controlled inspection lighting. Whatever is in the paint when the film goes on is what you see through it for a decade.
04 / Install
Film, then cure
Computer-cut panels applied indoors, edges tucked, then left to cure before the car moves. It goes home with aftercare you can actually follow.

What people ask before they book.

How long does an install take?
It depends on coverage. Bumper and headlights is a same-day job. Full front end is typically one to two days. Complete Protection includes multi-stage correction first, so plan on several days. You get a firm timeline once we have seen the car.
Will I be able to see the edges of the film?
On a computer-cut install, edges are placed to fall along panel lines and body gaps wherever the pattern allows. Up close, in the right light, you can find them. From a normal viewing distance the car reads as unwrapped.
Can film go over paint that already has chips or swirls?
It can, but you will be looking at those chips through the film for years. That is why correction is part of the process rather than an upsell at the end.
How do I wash a car that has film on it?
Normally — hand wash, pH-neutral soap, dry with a clean towel. Avoid pressure-washing straight into an edge, and skip brush-style automatic washes. You get written aftercare at pickup.
Does film yellow over time?
Older generation films did, which is where the reputation comes from. Modern XPEL film is UV stable and carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination on Complete Protection installs.
Can film be removed later?
Yes, and that is one of its real advantages. Removed correctly, the paint underneath is the factory paint — unfaded, unchipped, and usually in better condition than the panels that were never covered.
