Any shop can buy film. What certification changes is what happens to your car, and what happens if something goes wrong later.
The warranty is real
XPEL warrants the film itself for ten years against yellowing, cracking, staining and peeling. That warranty is written against a certified install. Film fitted by an uncertified shop is a much harder conversation.
Licensed, computer-cut patterns
Every install is cut from XPEL’s pattern library for your exact year, make and model, rather than trimmed on the car with a blade. Nothing is cut against your paint.
Genuine film, traceable
Counterfeit and gray-market film is a real problem in this trade, and it fails early in Florida sun. Buying through an authorized dealer is the only way to know what is actually going on the car.
Trained on the product
Certification is training on XPEL’s own products and methods. It is the difference between somebody who installs film and somebody who installs this film.

Does the warranty come from XPEL or from you?
Both, and they cover different things. XPEL warrants the film itself against yellowing, cracking, staining and peeling for ten years. We stand behind the installation — the fit, the edges and the finish. If something is wrong, start with us and we will sort out which it is.
Is film from a certified installer actually different?
The film is the same product. What differs is that it is genuine, cut from a licensed pattern for your exact vehicle, and fitted by somebody trained on it — and that the warranty behind it is intact. Most film failures we see are installation, not the material.
Can I buy the film and have you fit it?
No. We install film we have supplied, because that is the only way the product is traceable and the warranty holds. It is not an upsell — it is the condition the warranty is written under.
Do you do XPEL window film?
Ask when you call. The studio is built around paint protection film, color film and coatings, and we would rather tell you plainly what we do in-house than take the booking and sublet it.
How long does an XPEL install take?
A partial front is usually a day. Full front is longer, and a full body is several days — particularly if the paint is being corrected first, which it usually should be. You get a real timeline from the car before anything is booked.
