Interior Ceramic Coating in Jacksonville, FL

Spills sit on top instead of soaking in.

An invisible, breathable layer over leather, vinyl, plastic and fabric. It does not change how anything looks or feels — it changes what happens when something lands on it.

What it actually is

Protection you cannot see or feel.

A coating for a cabin has a harder job than one for paint. It has to stop UV, spills and body oils without gloss, without stiffening leather, and without sealing fabric so it cannot breathe.

Inside a cabinTwo very different jobs
Soft surfaces
Leather and AlcantaraStays breathable and keeps its grain — a coating that stiffens hide has failed
Fabric and carpetLiquid beads on the fiber instead of wicking into the padding underneath
Seat piping and stitchingThe seams are where dye transfer and staining actually start
Hard surfaces
Dashboard and door cardsThe UV layer. This is the surface Florida sun destroys first
Vinyl and plastic trimResists scuffing and stops the slow chalky fade
Screens and glassFingerprints and dust wipe off instead of smearing
The cabin of a McLaren being treated by hand at Detail Geex

Every surface gets the product made for it. The one thing they have in common is that the cabin has to be properly detailed first — a coating over soil seals the soil in, and it is not coming out afterwards.

Spills bead

Coffee, soda and road salt sit on the surface long enough to be wiped away rather than soaking straight into the fiber.

UV blocked

The dashboard, door tops and rear deck take the most sun in a Florida car. This is the layer that stops them fading and cracking.

Invisible and breathable

No gloss, no slick feel, no change in texture. Leather still looks and feels like leather — it just stops absorbing everything.

Cleaning gets easier

Dirt has nothing to key into, so routine cleaning becomes a wipe instead of a scrub with a chemical.

Coverage

Quoted by what is actually in the car.

There is no flat price, because a two-seat coupe in leather and a family SUV in cloth are not the same job. This is what gets covered.

01

Leather and Alcantara

  • Seats, bolsters, piping and stitching
  • Steering wheel, shifter and armrests
  • Door inserts and center console leather
  • Cleaned and conditioned before anything is applied
02

Fabric and carpet

  • Cloth seats and seat backs
  • Carpets, floor mats and trunk lining
  • Headliner where the material allows it
  • Extracted and dried before coating
03

Hard trim and glass

  • Dashboard, door cards and pillar trim
  • Vinyl, plastic and painted interior surfaces
  • Screens, gauge covers and interior glass
  • UV resistance treatment across every trim surface

Quoted from the vehicle — how many surfaces, which materials and what condition they are in. Interior coating is also included as part of the Geex Elite ceramic package if that is where you are heading.

Detail or coat

One resets it, the other keeps it.

These are not alternatives. A detail is what makes a coating possible, and a coating is what makes the next detail easy.

Interior Ceramic Coating

Stops the next one soaking in
Spills bead instead of soaking into hide and fabric.
UV protection on the surfaces the sun actually reaches.
Cleaning gets easier for years, not for a week.
Protects resale — a cracked dash and stained seats are what buyers see.
The cabin has to be properly detailed first.
vs

Interior Detailing

Resets what is already there
Removes soil, staining and odor at the source.
Restores leather, Alcantara, fabric and trim.
Priced per visit — do it whenever the car needs it.
Does nothing to stop the next coffee going over.
On a neglected cabin it has to be repeated far more often.

Do them together and the second one is cheaper. The cabin is already stripped back and dry, which is most of the preparation a coating needs.

The process

The coating is the last hour.

Almost all of the work is getting the cabin clean and dry enough for anything to bond to it.

01 / Assessment

Material by material

What is leather, what is vinyl, what is Alcantara and what is coated plastic. They take different products, and getting that wrong is how trim gets ruined.

02 / Deep clean

Everything comes out first

Air purge, full vacuum, neutral cleaner by surface and steam through the cabin. A coating over soil seals the soil in permanently.

03 / Dry

Properly, not nearly

Fabric and carpet have to be dry through the padding, not just dry to the touch. Coating damp material is how you trap a smell for good.

04 / Coat

Applied by surface, then cured

The right product on each material, leveled, then left to cure indoors. You get written aftercare for the first week.

Questions

What people ask before they book.

If yours is not here, call the shop. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

Will it change how my leather looks or feels?

No. That is the whole design brief — invisible and breathable. If a coating leaves hide shiny or slick, the wrong product went on it.

Does it actually stop stains?

It buys you time, which is what matters. A spill beads and sits on the surface instead of wicking straight into the fiber, so wiping it up in the next few minutes gets all of it. Left for a week, anything will eventually mark.

How long does it last?

Years on hard trim, less on high-contact areas like the driver’s seat bolster and the steering wheel, because those get worn by use rather than by weather. We will tell you which areas to expect to top up.

Can you coat a cabin that already has stains?

We would clean it first and tell you honestly what is coming out and what is not. Coating over a stain locks it in, and no amount of product afterwards will reach it.

Is it safe on screens and Alcantara?

Yes, with the right product on each. Alcantara in particular needs a coating made for it — the wrong one mats the fibers and that is very hard to undo.

Do I still need to clean the interior?

Yes, but it becomes a wipe rather than a project. Most people find they use far less chemical on a coated cabin, which is better for the materials anyway.
