One panel. One problem. One price.

The scratch you see every time you walk up to the car, fixed on its own — without paying to correct eleven panels that were already fine.

  • Wet Sanded 1500–3000
  • Compounded & Sealed
  • Indoors, Same Day

What it actually is

Pay to fix what is actually damaged.

Most cars do not need a full multi-stage polish. They need one panel sorted out — the key mark on the door, the scratch across the fender, the patch of orange peel you cannot stop looking at.

One panelWhat it targets, and where it stops
What it targets
Deep scratchesThe one that catches your eye every time you walk up to the car
Key marksLeveled out of the clear coat rather than filled in and hidden
Dings and orange peelPaint leveled where it is uneven, on that panel and no other
Where it stops
Through to the colorIf a scratch has gone past the clear coat, polishing cannot bring it back
Panels already thinClear coat is finite, and wet sanding uses it. We check before we start
Damage across the whole carIf every panel needs it, full correction is the cheaper answer
A single door panel being worked during spot correction

It is the same work as a full correction, aimed at one place. The panel gets fully decontaminated, clay bar treated and wet sanded from 1500 to 3000 grit before it is compounded, polished and sealed — because a half-corrected panel beside eleven original ones is more obvious than the scratch was.

Leveled, not filled

Wet sanding and compounding remove the defect. Anything that fills a scratch is clear until the filler washes out, which it will.

Matched to the car

The finished panel has to disappear into the ones beside it. That matching is most of the skill in this job.

Sealed afterwards

The corrected panel is sealed for lasting protection rather than handed back as bare, freshly sanded clear coat.

Told what is possible

If your fingernail catches in the scratch, it is through the clear coat. We will say so before we start rather than after.

Pricing

Per panel, by how deep it goes.

A light scratch and a key mark down to the primer are not the same job, so the price moves with the damage rather than sitting at one number.

Geex Spot Correction  ·  Per panel

$175–$325Per panel, by severity

Priced per panel by severity, so you only pay to fix what is actually damaged. Performed indoors in the controlled bay, with immediate results.

Book a panel
  • 01
Full panel decontaminationThe panel is cleaned back properly first — sanding over bonded contamination drags it through the clear coat.
  • 02
Clay bar treatmentLifts what washing cannot, so the surface being worked is paint and nothing else.
  • 03
Wet sanded, 1500 to 3000 gritStepped up through the grits to level the defect rather than fill or hide it.
  • 04
CompoundedThe sanding marks are cut back out, which is the step that decides how the panel finishes.
  • 05
PolishedRefined until the panel matches the ones either side of it in daylight, not just under one lamp.
  • 06
SealedFreshly corrected clear coat is bare. It leaves sealed for lasting protection.

$175 to $325 per panel depending on severity. If more than a few panels need it, say so when you call — at that point a full correction is usually the cheaper way round, and we will tell you so.

One panel or all of them

Both are correction. Only one is priced per panel.

The right answer is usually obvious once someone has looked at the car in proper light.

Spot correction

Targeted, per panel
Fixes the thing that bothers you and nothing else.
Priced per panel, from $175, so the cost matches the damage.
Same method — decontaminate, wet sand, compound, polish, seal.
Usually same day, because it is one panel.
Only sensible while the rest of the car is genuinely fine.
vs

Full paint correction

Every panel, one standard
The whole car matches when it is finished.
Removes swirls everywhere, not just the obvious defect.
Built into the Geex Armor and Geex Elite coating tiers.
Costs considerably more, because it is considerably more work.
Overkill if one panel is the only problem.

Not sure which you need? Bring it by. Under proper lighting it usually takes about a minute to tell whether this is one panel or the whole car.

The process

The same work, aimed at one place.

Nothing is skipped because it is a single panel — that is exactly why the result blends in rather than standing out.

01 / Assess

Fingernail test, under light

How deep the defect goes decides whether this works at all. If it is through the clear coat we will tell you before you commit, not after.

02 / Prepare

Decontaminate and clay

The panel is fully decontaminated and clay bar treated. Anything left bonded to the surface gets dragged through the paint by the next step.

03 / Level

Wet sanded, then compounded

Stepped from 1500 through to 3000 grit to level the defect, then compounded to cut the sanding marks back out of the finish.

04 / Finish

Polished, matched, sealed

Polished until the panel reads the same as the ones beside it, then sealed so it is not handed back as bare clear coat.

Questions

What people ask before they book.

If yours is not here, call the shop. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

How do I know if my scratch can be fixed?

Run a fingernail across it. If your nail catches, the scratch is through the clear coat and no amount of polishing will remove it — that needs paint. If it does not catch, there is a good chance it comes out. We will confirm under proper lighting before anything is booked.

Why is there a price range?

Because a light scuff and a key mark are different amounts of work on the same size panel. $175 is where it starts and $325 is where the more severe end sits, and you are told which before we begin.

Will the corrected panel match the rest of the car?

That is the actual job. A single panel polished harder than everything around it stands out more than the original defect did, so it is finished to match its neighbors in daylight rather than polished as far as it will go.

How many panels before I should just do the whole car?

There is no fixed number, but once you are into several panels, full paint correction usually costs less than the sum of the spots and leaves the whole car consistent. We will tell you when you have crossed that line.

Is wet sanding safe on my paint?

In the right hands and on paint that has the thickness for it, yes — it is how a defect gets leveled rather than filled. On a panel that has already been polished thin it is not, which is why the assessment happens first.

Can you do it the same day?

Usually, for one panel. Call ahead so we can look at it and give you a real answer rather than a hopeful one.
