Auto Detailing & Paint Protection in Neptune Beach, FL

Most of Neptune Beach parks outside.

One square mile, a lot of it built before anyone assumed two-car garages. Detail Geex is about twenty minutes west — a sealed, climate-controlled bay for cars that have nowhere to hide from the salt.

Neptune Beach

A garage is the cheapest protection there is.

And a lot of Neptune Beach does not have one. The housing here is older and smaller than the developments west of the Intracoastal, which changes what a car is exposed to overnight, every night.

Overnight

Twelve hours of salt dew, daily

A car left on the street or in a short driveway collects salt-laden dew every night and bakes it on the next morning. That cycle — wet, then hot, then wet again — is what actually drives corrosion, and it is far harder on an uncovered car than on one that spends the night behind a door.

Street parking

Curbside is where paint gets hurt

Tight streets mean doors opening close by, bikes and boards going past, and bins and branches along the same edge of the car week after week. It is not dramatic damage. It is the slow accumulation down one flank that owners notice all at once, two years in.

Short trips

The car never dries out properly

Neptune Beach is walkable, so a lot of cars here do short hops and sit. Brake dust bonds on wheels that never get hot enough to shed it, and moisture stays in door shuts and around trim rather than being driven off. Both are fixable, and both get worse the longer they are left.

Getting here

Straight out of town on Atlantic.

Neptune Beach to St Johns Bluff Road is one road most of the way, and the traffic is easiest before ten.

01

Atlantic Boulevard, heading west

Out through Neptune, past the Intracoastal bridge. You are on the same road the whole way until the turn.

02

North on St Johns Bluff

A right turn about four minutes before you arrive. If you have hit Southside Boulevard you have gone too far.

03

Building 400, into the bay

The car goes straight inside. Nothing sits on a forecourt collecting dust while it waits for a slot.

It is a twenty minute drive to the one thing a beachside driveway cannot give you: a sealed, climate-controlled room. Film and coatings cure properly in there and nowhere else. Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, closed Sunday.

If the car sleeps outside

Frequency beats everything.

A car with no garage needs the salt taken off more often than one with — which is exactly the problem a membership is built to solve.

01

Two indoor washes a month

  • Salt removed before it has weeks to work
  • Foam pre-soak and two buckets, every time

Questions from Neptune Beach

What people a block from the ocean ask.

If yours is not here, call the shop on 904-574-4339.

My car has no garage. Is a coating still worth it?

It is worth more, not less. A garaged car is protected by the garage; an uncovered one is not protected by anything, so the coating is doing all the work. It will not last as long on a car that sits out — which is why the wash routine matters more here than anywhere else.

Do you come to Neptune Beach?

No, and deliberately so. Film and coatings cannot be applied properly outdoors. Airborne salt, humidity and a single piece of grit under film are all permanent problems. Everything happens in the sealed bay, twenty minutes west on Atlantic.

How often should a car parked on the street be washed?

Every two weeks is what keeps most uncovered cars here ahead of it. If that sounds like a lot to organize, that is exactly what a membership is for — two indoor washes a month, booked in.

Can you get rid of the marks down one side of my car?

Usually, yes. Light scuffs and swirls in the clear coat come out with paint correction. If it is a single panel rather than the whole car, spot correction is $175 to $325 a panel and often the smarter buy.

What about the sand that gets everywhere inside?

Sand is abrasive, so it is worth taking seriously rather than living with. Interior detailing gets it out of the carpet pile and the seat rails, and an interior coating stops the next lot bonding to the upholstery.

Do you work on older cars, or is it all exotics?

Both. A lot of what comes through the bay is daily drivers and older cars that people intend to keep. Age is not the deciding factor — whether the paint has enough clear coat left to correct is, and we will tell you honestly when it does not.
